Hattie Louise Hurst is ours!!
We accepted the referral at about 8:00 Friday night. We got the report from the Dr. in B'ham and she let us know the straight stuff. She will need 2 immediate surgeries. 1 to put tubes in her ears, which I have been told is really no big deal. The second to repair the side of her nose that was affected by her cleft lip, and also see if they can improve the look of her lip. In her pictures you can see that she has had a cleft lip. But it is not bad. You know we are just thrilled any way we can get her. Now we wait to see what our travel plans will be.
I will need all of your prayers throughout this....the waiting to get news is no fun. And i think the devil likes this time. He worked on me some yesterday. Then Leslie gave me a pep talk and got me through it... I do NOT know what I would do w/o that chick!!! Leslie, you're my rock. Thanks for being here for me. I love you. You have listened to countless worries. Thanks for listening to me whine.
